Strap Allergy
A strap allergy is caused from the adhesives that hold the straps together. These straps are used around restaurant napkins, paper money and office supplies bought in bulk. Although latex can be found in 40,000 products, people often overlook the fact that the adhesives, made from latex, found in every day products can be the culprit to their allergic reactions.
Unlike synthetic materials made from petrochemicals, Vytex® Natural Rubber Latex (NRL) is made from traditional latex and contains virtually undetectable levels of the antigenic proteins that can lead to latex allergy. Vytex NRL retains all the positive properties of latex, such as barrier protection, elasticity, comfort and fit, and can be used in the manufacturing of adhesives found in common every day products. It was designed as a “drop in” material and integrates seamlessly into manufacturing operations that currently use NRL or synthetic substitutes without additional capital investment or equipment.
If you or someone you know suffers from what you think may be the adhesives found in the products you come into contact with every day, please contact us or contact your physician about your concerns and consider being tested for latex allergy.
