Clothes Allergy
Having a “clothes allergy” could mean you are
experiencing side effects to certain clothing you wear. These side effects
include dry and itchy skin, skin discolorations and even a burning sensation.
The real culprit behind a “clothes allergy” may actually be the
elastic threads that are woven within the clothing.
The threads found in clothing can be made from natural rubber latex. If you
are someone who is allergic to latex, these threads can be triggering your
skin reactions. If you are unsure about having a latex allergy, then pay attention
to the clothing you wear and the products you come into contact with. Repeated
exposure to products that contain natural latex can result in significant discomfort
if you are a latex allergy sufferer.
Vystar® Corporation created Vytex® Natural Rubber Latex (NRL) because
the world needs better latex products such as the threads found in clothes.
Vystar’s research team devoted more than seven years to finding a way
to significantly reduce the allergy-causing proteins typically found in traditional
natural rubber latex. This development means that clothing can be manufactured
with this new material and retain all of the desirable qualities of latex,
with the added benefit of substantially reduced protein levels. These reduced
levels significantly decrease the risk of developing allergic reactions to
latex.
If you believe you suffer from a clothes allergy, contact your physician or
healthcare provider about your concerns and consider being tested for latex
allergy. For more information on allergies, visit the American
Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology website. For further information
